Tigard Pride, a chance to geek out over big trucks, comic con, a summer reading carnival, and more shows and live music than you can reasonably fill your schedule with. You better get started on your weekend planning, and have a great time out there!

- Big Truck Day ā

Get ready to climb, explore, and geek out over massive machines at Tualatinās 2nd Annual Big Truck Day. From bulldozers and fire trucks to ambulances and dump trucks, youāll get an up-close look at all the big rigs kids (and plenty of adults) canāt resist. Learn how to stand out in interviews and clearly communicate your strengths when it counts. This session introduces the STAR Method, a simple but powerful way to answer questions so you can highlight your skills, experience, and problem-solving abilities whether youāre applying for a job, scholarship, or promotion. - Kids Canvas Paint Night ā Otterly Adorable!

Enjoy a date night while the kids get creative at this guided painting class for ages 7ā14. Young artists will paint an adorable otter on an 8×10 canvas with step-by-step instruction, making it beginner-friendly and fun for all skill levels. A ticket includes all art supplies, a handcrafted Italian or dirty soda, and a lively, kid-friendly atmosphere where everyone leaves with a masterpiece and probably a little paint somewhere unexpected. - LatinĀ DanceĀ Night withĀ Pa’lante

Spend your Friday night with Portland singer-songwriter Gina DeNoble, whose rich vocals and heartfelt songwriting bring a soulful Pacific Northwest feel to the stage. Drawing inspiration from travels through Washington, Canada, and Alaska, her music blends warmth, reflection, and folk-inspired storytelling into an intimate live performance. After returning to the stage in 2023 following a long hiatus, Gina has quickly become a standout regional voice with appearances at festivals and venues across the Northwest.
As we head into warmer weather, a little prep can go a long way. Energy Trust of Oregon has simple steps like closing blinds during sunny weather and doing adding to help keep indoor temps steady. There are also incentives available for bigger upgrades like adding insulation.

Westside Comic Con is a nonprofit in Washington County that brings fans together to celebrate comics, graphic novels, gaming, and pop culture. Through inclusive events, it builds community, sparks creativity, and highlights how popular arts contribute to both culture and the local economy. - Kathak: Classical Dance from Northern India ā

Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Month with a live Kathak performance by Shivani Joshi, showcasing the expressive classical dance tradition of Northern India. Rooted in storytelling from the life of Krishna and performed to traditional Indian music, this all-ages event offers a vibrant, rhythmic experience full of movement, culture, and grace. - Music at the Hearth: Duo Between Friends ā
11am-12pm, Tualatin Public Library, Tualatin
Music hits differently when itās made between friends, and this program proves it. Violinist Greg Ewer performs works inspired by BĆ©la Bartókās violin duos alongside pieces commissioned from his longtime friend and collaborator Kenji Bunch, blending friendship, craft, and musical conversation into a single performance. Presented in partnership with 45th Parallel Universe and held at the library hearth. - Tigard Pride Parade & Festival ā
2pm-5pm, parade starting from 113th Ave. and Durham Rd., continuing down Durham eastbound toward Tigard High School at 92nd Ave, festival at Tigard High School, Tigard
The City of Tigard, in partnership with the Tigard-Tualatin School District, hosts the 6th annual Pride Parade and Festival! The parade kicks off at 2pm on Durham Road, traveling from 113th Ave to Tigard High School, where the festival continues inside with live performances, community speakers, vendors, food, crafts, and resource booths. Itās an all-ages celebration of Pride, community, and connection with something happening at every turn. - King Louie & Renato Caranto – Live Music ā
7:30pm-9:30pm, Murrayhill Taphouse, Beaverton
Settle in for a smooth lakeside evening as King Louie on keys and saxophonist Renato Caranto bring a soulful mix of jazz, blues, and funk. With great food, drinks, and an easygoing atmosphere by the water, itās the kind of live music night that makes for a great Saturday night. - Geeklesque: A Burlesque Tribute to Memorable Characters
8pm-10pm, Wingspan Event and Conference Center,Ā Hillsboro
Head to the āSupper Club at the end of the universeā for Geeklesque, a burlesque tribute to iconic pop culture characters presented by Bee Beeās Cabaret Supper Club in partnership with Westside Comic Con. Expect a playful, nerdy, and glamorous night featuring performances from Bee Bee Sanchez, Mismonsta, Nina Nightshade, Obscura Fox, and Rummy Rose, all hosted by Kisa Von Teasa. Available as a standalone show or as an add-on to your Comic Con weekend.

Enjoy a concert by Music4Harmony, followed by a hands-on string instrument āpetting zooā where kids can explore and try out real instruments up close. Designed for ages 4ā12 with their families, itās a fun, interactive way to experience music beyond just listening. - Summer Reading Carnival ā
2pm-4pm, Tualatin Public Library, Tualatin
Summer Reading is kicking off with a celebration full of carnival games, prizes, and easy fun for the whole family. Stop by the Community Room to sign up, play games, and get ready for a summer of reading, with free books for all kids and teens who register.
