As you might expect, we have a super busy weekend ahead! Parades, festivals, hotdogs, and fireworks. And, just a reminder on the fireworks front to take a second to think of the pets, the wildlife, and the neighbors who might need a little extra grace this weekend. That community care is what makes this place worth writing about. Be safe out there, everyone!

Always check the event source before heading out, as details can change last minute. I collect events and create this list by hand, so events aren’t automatically updated if there’s a change.

Friday, July 3

• Helvetia Lavender Festival
  10am-3pm Friday, 10am-4pm Saturday and Sunday, 12814 NW Bishop Rd, Hillsboro
  Helvetia Lavender Farm invites you to the Helvetia Lavender Festival, where you can wander fields of 60 lavender varieties, cut your own bundles, and relax with scenic views from the pavilion. Enjoy 30+ artisan vendors, food, live music, and farm-made lavender oils and gifts throughout the day.

  Join us on the first Friday of each month for Mahjong. Whether you’re a seasoned player or have never played before, you’re welcome to join in, with experienced players on hand to teach you.
• Hillsboro Friday Night Bites ✅
  5pm-8pm, 171 & 173 NE 3rd Ave, Hillsboro
  Join us on the first Friday of each summer month for a block party with live music, cornhole, local food vendors, handmade artisans, and food specials from Decadent Creations, Collective Market, and D’Anu Winebar. Come early to grab a table, or bring a lawn chair and settle in.

  It’s the first Friday of the month, which means it’s time to get ready for open mic night!
• The Craig Shannon Band – Live Music ✅
  6pm-9pm, Hillsboro Downtown Station Food Carts, Hillsboro
  Enjoy an all-ages night of rock and roll with The Craig Shannon Band!
• Chasing Ebenezer – Live Music ✅
  7:30pm-9:30pm, Murrayhill Taphouse, Beaverton
  Enjoy an evening with Portland-based world folk-rock band Chasing Ebenezer as they blend Celtic, African, and Middle Eastern influences into an energetic live performance. Led by a husband-and-wife duo, the band combines bohemian violin melodies, world percussion, and a unique mix of instruments for a soulful show.
• SuperWave – Live Music ✅
  8:30pm-12am, Coyote’s, Hillsboro
  SuperWave is back at Coyote’s Bar and Grill for their first show of 2026 at the venue, now featuring new guitarist Nick Gimerelli. Get ready to dance the night away with late 70s and early 80s new wave and rock, plus a few surprises and some brand-new tunes.

Saturday, July 4

• Hillsboro Rotary Run 5K and Kids Dash
  8am-9:30am, Hillsboro Civic Center (5k), The Walters (Kids Dash), Hillsboro
  Kick off your Fourth of July by running or walking the Hillsboro Fourth of July 5K or the Kids Dash before the annual parade begins. This family-friendly event welcomes all ages, and your registration helps fund scholarships for local high school students pursuing higher education.
• Red White and Blue Day at Portland Cars and Coffee ✅
  8am-11am, Langer’s, Sherwood
  Red White Blue Day fills the Featured Lot with rows of red, white, and blue cars in a festive tribute to the country’s birthday. Arrive early, since the first 65 vehicles are placed in the featured area starting around 7am, with hundreds more general parking spots available for all colors, plus overflow across the street near Walmart.
• 4th of July Celebration and Independence Day Parade ✅
  11am, Jessie Mays Community Center, North Plains
  Enjoy this family-friendly parade with a theme of “Salute Our American Heroes.” After the parade, have a free hotdog at the community center provided by the Knights of Pythias.
• Hillsboro Rotary 4th of July Parade ✅
  10am-12pm, Downtown Hillsboro
  Celebrate Independence Day and more than 100 years of the Hillsboro Rotary by cheering on the 2026 Fourth of July Parade through Downtown Hillsboro. Find your spot along the parade route before the 10 am start and enjoy this longtime community tradition.
• 4th of July Celebration & Concert ✅
  11am-2pm, Veterans Memorial Park, Beaverton
  Celebrate the Fourth of July at Veterans Memorial Park in Beaverton with live music, inflatables, yard games, face painting, and more family-friendly fun. Bring a blanket or low beach chair for lawn seating, pack the family, and enjoy a summer afternoon with your neighbors. Leashed dogs are welcome, but alcohol is not allowed.
• Banks Chamber of Commerce Fourth of July and Miles To Go Concert ✅
  2pm (celebration starts), 7pm (concert starts) Banks Sunset Park, Banks
  Have fun and celebrate the Fourth of July before the fireworks show! At 7pm, the Miles To Go concert will help you put on your dancing shoes with classic rock, country, and pop hits!
• Middle of Millen Drive Independence Day Parade ✅
  4pm, starts between SW 92nd and 93rd on Millen Drive, Tigard
  Celebrate America’s 250th birthday by getting together as a community for this yearly tradition.
• Forest Grove July 4th & 250th Anniversary Celebration ✅
  5pm-11pm, Tom McCall Upper Elementary School, Forest Grove
  Celebrate the Fourth of July and America’s 250th anniversary in Forest Grove with a full day of live music, family activities, local vendors, history demonstrations, a veterans tribute, and a fireworks show. Hosted by the Downtown Association of Forest Grove, this community celebration brings people together to honor the nation’s history and the spirit of the local community.
• Tigard High School Fireworks Show ✅
  6pm, Tigard High School, Tigard
  Celebrate the Fourth of July with an evening of kids’ games, food trucks, music, special characters, and DJ entertainment starting at 6pm, followed by the Tualatin Valley Community Band at 8pm and a fireworks show around 10pm. Bring a blanket or picnic, enjoy onsite food vendors, and catch a special National Anthem performance by local student Sarah Farhangi, with Emmy Award-winning TV personality Tra’Renee hosting the festivities.
• The Lauries – Live Music ✅
  6pm-9pm, Hillsboro Downtown Station Food Carts, Hillsboro
  This band of longtime women musicians is ready to rock the night away. Come grab dinner, enjoy the show, and get into the spirit before the fireworks.
• 4th of July – Fireworks Show
  9:45pm, Sunset Speedway, Banks
  After the final race, celebrate the 4th of July with a fireworks show!

Sunday, July 5

• Disney Trivia ✅
  11:30am-1:30pm, Langer’s Tack Room, Sherwood
  Be our guest for a free trivia night with $2 mimosas, a brunch buffet, and $150 in prizes up for grabs. This 21+ event is the perfect mix of good food, drinks, and friendly competition.
• Simple Science: Egg Carton Geodes ✅
  3:30pm-4:30pm, Brookwood Library, Hillsboro
  Create your own DIY geode inspired by the beauty of real minerals. This hands-on activity is open to all ages.
• Basso a Deux – Live Music ✅
  4pm-6pm, Bridgeport Village, Tigard
