If you’ve been waiting until the last minute to do your holiday shopping, see a holiday show, give your wish list to Santa, or cheers to the season, now’s your time. We have events this weekend to help you check off your entire holiday-merriment to-do list. Grab your umbrella and have some festive fun! 🎄🎉

Friday, December 19

  • Gingerbread Houses ✅
    5:30pm-7:30pm, Cornelius Library, Cornelius

    Join the traditional Gingerbread House making program to showcase your construction talents and creativity! All materials will be supplied, so just bring your family for a fun building session. Everyone is welcome to participate, but please note that supplies are limited and will be provided only while they last.
  • Dickens Carolers ✅

    Enjoy singers in Victorian costume strolling about the property, singing all your holiday favorites.
  • Orenco Christmas Parade ✅
    7pm-8pm Friday and Saturday, starts at Orenco Elementary, Hillsboro

    The Orenco Christmas Parade is back at Orenco Elementary School and winding through the Old Orenco and Danbury neighborhoods. This parade is returning due to the love it has received over the years, and first-time attendees are warmly welcomed to join and be filled with Christmas cheer. Saturday will be special, as the parade will go through the Plaza and the Winter Village.
  • Forest Grove Outlaws – Live Music ✅
    7pm-9pm, Waltz Brewing, Forest Grove

    Enjoy live music from the Forest Grove Outlaws and food from The Cajun Papa’s
  • Mark O’Connor’s An Appalachian Christmas Feat. Maggie O’Connor
    7:30pm, The Reser, Beaverton

    Experience an evening of masterful strings with three-time Grammy winner Mark O’Connor, who has redefined American string music by blending classical, jazz, and bluegrass into his signature style, joined by his wife, violinist Maggie O’Connor, to deliver dazzling fiddle tunes and soul-stirring duets that celebrate the depth and beauty of American string traditions.

    Find your next furry friend at Animal Rescue Kingdom’s dog adoption event! You can either pre-adopt a dog or adopt a dog on the same day as the event.
  • Cosplay Meet-Up ✅
    10am-11am, Hillsboro Brookwood Library, Hillsboro

    Join us in the Collaboratory for a drop-in costume crafting session for cosplaying, where all skill levels and skill sets are welcome. The event is for ages 12 and up, and you can bring your own projects to work on while utilizing the basic supplies and equipment provided.
  • Merry and Bright Holiday Market ✅
    10am-6pm Saturday and 10am-5pm Sunday, 2425 SE TV Hwy, Hillsboro

    Join Pass It On for a holiday market featuring artists, crafters, makers, bakers, and more!
  • Santa at the Winery ✅ (reservation required)
    12pm-4pm, Oak Knoll Winery, Hillsboro

    Santa is making a special, complimentary stop at Oak Knoll Winery! Kids can enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, and candy canes while sharing their Christmas wishes, families can snap their own photos with Santa, and parents can relax with a wine tasting, glass, or bottle. Spots are limited, and families must reserve their time slot in advance to attend.
  • Christmas Magic on the Farm
    2pm-5pm Saturday and 4pm-7:30pm Sunday, Todd Acres LLC, Sherwood

    A two-day “Christmas Magic” celebration to benefit the Unicorn Initiative, a nonprofit supporting rescue animals and outreach programs. Day 1, the Family Holiday Experience on Saturday includes a visit with Santa and elves, a meet-and-greet with Dewdrop the Miniature Unicorn, a nativity petting zoo, a pony ride or walk, a barn walk-through, an ornament craft kit, and hot cocoa for purchase. Day 2, the Charity Christmas Concert features live holiday music by The Katie Jane Band, Sean Thomas & Cherrytree Road, a silent auction, small vendors, concessions, and animal interactions.
  • Posada Navideña ✅
    2pm-6pm, 346 SW Walnut St, Hillsboro

    Experience the magic of the season at the Posada Navideña hosted by M&M Marketplace. This event brings beloved holiday traditions to life for Hillsboro families, featuring classic Posada customs like piñatas, aguinaldos, champurrado, sweet bread, and special toy giveaways for children. The event will be held at the Frida Kahlo Food Court
  • Portland Cello Project Holiday Show
    2pm and 7:30pm, The Reser, Beaverton

    Put on your mittens and scarves for the Portland Cello Project’s annual Winter Holiday show, featuring singer Sarah Clarke and beautiful orchestrations of festive tunes and timeless classics, presented by the genre-defying ensemble known for reimagining everything from Bach to Beyoncé with a mix of classical technique and adventurous orchestration.
  • Christmas Night Market ✅
    4pm-8pm (Christmas Night Market) 9pm-11pm (Sleigh Whaaat?! Ugly Sweater and SantaCon Dance Party
    ), Zesti Carts, Forest Grove
    The event is a full night of fun, starting with a Christmas Market featuring local makers, vendors, food carts, and craft holiday cocktails, allowing you to wander and shop for unique gifts in the Pavilion and the cozy Solarium greenhouse. The party then kicks up a notch at 8 pm with a Santacon and Ugly Sweater Dance Party, hosted by DJ Bryson Wallace, where you can stay for music, dancing, and holiday chaos. Then, from 8pm-11pm, have fun at Sleigh Whaaat?! Ugly Sweater and SantaCon Dance Party!
  • Santa ✅
    5pm, Hillsboro Downtown Station, Hillsboro

    Come grab a candy cane and get your picture taken with Santa!
  • Ugly Xmas Sweater Party ✅
    7pm-10pm, Pizzario, Hillsboro

    Join in on the Ugly Xmas Sweater Party featuring warm food, tasty beverages, and lots of fun! The event will have prizes for the ugliest Christmas attire, a sing-along of Christmas carols, and features a lineup of very talented local musical guests to bring on the Christmas cheer, including Price Luber on percussion, Doug Jacques on accordion, and Katherine Rhee on violin. Be sure to reserve a table for this festive event.
  • Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
    7:30pm and 2:30pm depending on the day, Dec 5-21, Theater in the Grove, Forest Grove

    Get ready for a heartwarming dose of nostalgia with the stage adaptation of the beloved 1964 television classic, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Staged with timeless songs and Christmas spirit, this delightful show captures the whimsy of the original and reminds audiences that what makes you different is what makes you shine.
  • Penny Serenade
    7:30pm, 22520 SW Washington St, Sherwood

    Prepare to shed a few tears with this movie screening, as sometimes you just need a good cry. The venue is located in an old building in Sherwood and is only accessible by stairs, but it features a concessions bar stocked with popcorn, snacks, wine, beer, and signature dirty sodas, and while chairs are provided, guests are welcome to bring their own chair or blanket for maximum comfort.

Sunday, December 21

  • Downtown Beaverton Food and History Tour
    11:00am – 1:30pm, Starting at BG’s Food Cartel outdoor patio 4250 SW Rose Biggi Avenue, Beaverton
    Yum Crawl is a new guided walking food and history tour. You’ll sip and sample some of the neighborhoods favorite tastes while learning about Beaverton’s history.  Meet other adventurers and support local businesses. Find new reasons to appreciate Beaverton.
  • Holiday Movies Trivia ✅
    11:30am-1:30pm, Langer’s Tack Room, Sherwood

    Test your knowledge of holiday movies while earning $150 in prizes, a brunch buffet, and $2 mimosas. Ages 21+.
  • It’s A Tony Starlight Christmas!
    2pm and 5pm, The Reser, Beaverton

    “It’s a Tony Starlight Christmas” is returning for its seventeenth year as a Pacific Northwest holiday tradition. This show is a throwback to classic television variety shows featuring legends like Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. The performance, featuring the All-Star Horns and guest vocalists Barbara Ayars and Thea Enos, brings back these uplifting traditions with a fresh, comedic spin that captures the warmth and glow of the season.
  • Music4Harmony ✅
    2pm-3:30pm, Beaverton City Library, Beaverton

    Enjoy a holiday concert by Music4Harmony followed by a stringed instrument petting zoo. This event is geared towards ages 4-12 with their families.
  • Taps Holiday Party ✅
    4pm, Taps on Scholls, Beaverton

    Join the party for festive fun, including holiday games, a cookie exchange (bring a batch of your favorite cookies to swap with allergens clearly listed), and cookie decorating. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their most festive attire to celebrate in sweet style.
  • Holiday Concert
    4pm, Forest Grove United Methodist Church 1726 Cedar Street, Forest Grove

    Bells of the Cascades invites you to their annual holiday concert, “Winter’s Tale,” which features enchanting and powerful music that follows the story of a youthful traveler through a wintry world of adversity toward a final destination of love and self-discovery. Attendees can also browse a Marketplace of handcrafted items, enter a Raffle of exciting prizes, and contribute to the community through food donations.
