As the weather warms up, we’re seeing a surge in outdoor events! Baseball, live music, local markets, and so much more. Get out there and grab your Vitamin D!

Always check the event source before heading out, as details can change last minute. I collect events and create this list by hand, so events aren’t automatically updated if there’s a change.

Friday, March 27

• Forest Grove Neighborhood Household Waste Collection Event ✅
  9am-2pm Friday and Saturday, Forest Grove High School, Forest Grove
  Metro is hosting a free household hazardous waste collection event to help residents safely dispose of items like paint, batteries, pesticides, automotive products, and medical sharps (no medications). These items shouldn’t go in regular trash. Check the Metro website for the full list of accepted items, how to prepare your drop-off, and the spring event schedule
• Navigating Healthcare with Confidence ✅
  11:30am-1pm, Brookwood Library, Hillsboro
  Boost your health literacy in this interactive workshop on preparing for appointments, communicating with providers, and understanding medical guidance to improve outcomes.
• Robert Meade – Live Music ✅
  7:30pm-9:30pm, Murrayhill Taphouse, Beaverton
  Relax by the lake with Robert Meade’s smooth vocals and versatile set of classic rock, pop, and acoustic favorites, all paired with food and drinks for the perfect evening.

• Tualatin River Run
  9am, Nyberg Woods Shopping Center-Tualatin River Greenway Path, Tualatin
  Kick off the season with the Tualatin River Run 5K, a fast, mostly flat course along the scenic Tualatin River Greenway Path. Designed to be fun and motivating, this race offers great views, a smooth route, and a refreshing change from typical city runs.
• Easter Market ✅
  10am-2pm, Helvetia Farm Market, Hillsboro
  Celebrate spring at the Easter Vendor Market with a fun, family-friendly day of local shopping, tasty ham samples, kids’ crafts, and food trucks. It’s an easygoing way to enjoy the season, support small businesses, and spend time with the community.
• Storytime with Peter Rabbit ✅
  11am, MudPuddles Toys and Books, Sherwood
  Celebrate spring and Easter with Storytime with Peter Rabbit, featuring classic tale readings, a hands-on craft, and photo ops with the mischievous bunny for the whole family to enjoy.
• Women’s Wellness Fair ✅
  11am-1:30pm, Cedar Hills Recreation Center, Portland
  Celebrate Women’s History Month at this community-focused event centered on women’s health, wellness, and empowerment. Explore 25+ vendors and resources, attend workshops and mini-lectures on topics like strength training, pelvic health, and financial wellness, and enjoy movement activities, raffles, and light refreshments. Designed to support women at every stage, with opportunities to learn, connect, and take care of your future self.
• Pooch Party ✅
  11am-3pm, Somerset West Swim Center, Beaverton
  Bring your pup to the Pooch Party for a tail-wagging good time with a pop-up dog run, a pooch swim in the pool, and fun activities. Pre-registration is encouraged as space is limited.
• Plant Swap ✅
  12pm-2pm, Murray Scholls, Beaverton
  Indoor plant lovers, bring a plant or cutting to swap and go home with something new. Drop in for plant chatter and trades, all ages welcome.
• Hoppin’ Fan Fest ✅
  12pm-5pm, 4530 NE Century Boulevard, Hillsboro
  Get a first look at the new Hops ballpark at Hoppin’ Fan Fest. This event offers stadium tours, concessions, on-field access, family fun activities, airbrush tattoos, an inflatable hitting cage, and beer and wine tastings for 21+, with premium spaces open to explore. Make sure to grab free tickets!
• Plant Sale and Swap ✅
  12pm-6pm, Plant Lovers, Tigard
  Plant lovers, mark your calendars for the last Saturday of each month at Tigard’s Plant Lovers Store for a sale and swap featuring rare and common plants, vendor booths, and a free table for donations or pick-ups.
• Sips and Sounds with John Shipe – Live Music ✅
  1pm-4pm, Blakeslee Vineyard Estate, Sherwood
  Spend Saturday at Sips & Sounds enjoying live music by John Ship, Blakeslee wines by the flight, glass, or bottle, beer, lite bites, and a relaxing vineyard atmosphere with friends.
• Esperanza Rising
  6pm Saturday and Sunday, The Vault Theatre, Hillsboro
  Enjoy a staged reading of Esperanza Rising with live music and complimentary Mexican food. Tickets by donation, and kids attend free.
• The Most Dangerous Game: Movies with STARS Microcinema
  7:30pm, STAR Society, Sherwood
  Enjoy a brilliant adaptation of a classic short story at this cozy venue with popcorn, snacks, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks. Please note that the building is only accessible only by stairs.
• Portland Gay Men’s Chorus & Eugene Gay Men’s Chorus Presents Legacies
  8pm Saturday and Sunday, The Reser, Beaverton
  Legacies celebrates the resilience and voices of the LGBTQ+ community with the 30th anniversary of Robert Seeley’s “Naked Man” and works commissioned by GALA choruses, honoring struggles, triumphs, and the ongoing journey toward equality.
