The last time we tried to go to the Beaverton Library book sale, we got there before it started and already saw a line that wrapped around the park and the building. It’s not a small park or building either. We just turned around and went right back home. We were sad we wouldn’t be getting any books, but also thrilled that the library was getting so much support. So, if you head out to the book sale this week, get there early!

- Lee Farms Fall Harvest Festival

Weekends in October bring even more excitement with the new Pirate Ship Ride, Strawberry Whirl, and Swing Ride. Bring your knitting, crochet, embroidery, weaving, or needle-felting projects to a casual fiber arts gathering. Browse thousands of books, DVDs, CDs, and more at the Friends of the Beaverton City Library sale. Members and teachers get early access on Wednesday, Sept. 24 (2:30–6:30 PM). General sale runs Sept. 25–27, 10 AM–5:30 PM. Wrap up with the bag sale on Sunday, Sept. 28, 12–5:30 PM when you can fill a bag for $10. THPRD is hosting a grand opening event for Harvest Park in the north Bethany area. The event will include family-friendly activities, entertainment, and free shave ice.
