How is it 2025 already?! Sadly, I’ll probably accidentally still be writing 2024 on everything for the next few months – sorry in advance! No matter how you plan to kick off the new year, maybe there’s an event in this list that will help you welcome in 2024 2025.

Thursday, January 2

• Snowman Scavenger Hunt
  Through Jan 31st, Bridgeport Village, Tigard
  Families can pick up a checklist at the Security Office or print one online, then find 15 hidden snowmen in store and restaurant windows. Once complete, return to the Security Office for a small prize (located between Madewell and Barnes & Noble).
• Winter Village Ice Skating
  10am-8pm Weds-Sun through Jan 12th, Jerry Willey Plaza at Orenco Station, Hillsboro
  Celebrate the return of Winter Village, Hillsboro’s cherished outdoor ice-skating rink. Perfect for friends and family, this seasonal event offers open skate sessions, private rentals, and exciting themed Fridays. A joyful way to embrace the holiday spirit!
• Menopause Cafe
  6:30pm-8:30pm, 451 S 1st Ave Suite 100, 200, and 300, Hillsboro
  Join the Menopause Café hosted by Hillsboro Downtown Partnership at Back to Balance LLC for a casual and open space to discuss the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of menopause. This event offers a chance to connect, share experiences, and find support.

Friday, January 3

• 1st Friday Ceili Mor – Live Music & Irish Folk Dance
  8pm-11pm, Winona Grange, Tualatin
  Lessons begin at 7:45 PM, followed by dancing until 11:00 PM, featuring traditional Irish tunes. The event promotes Irish traditions through music, workshops, and ceilis, offering a fun, energetic experience that’s a workout for both body and spirit.
• Learn to Line Dance
  6pm-8pm, Oak Knoll Winery, Hillsboro
  Join Shirley from Dance Your Boots Off for a beginner-friendly Line Dance class. Tickets are $5 presale online until 4 PM on the day of the event and $10 at the door. This 21+ event requires no prior experience and does not allow outside food or beverages.
• Baz Moto
  7pm, Pizzario, Hillsboro
  Join Baz Moto at Pizzario for their monthly smaller-format show, featuring special guest guitarist Brandon Navia.
• Family Pickleball – Blacklight Mixer Night
  7pm-9pm, Hidden Creek Community Center
  Open to all skill levels, players aged 9 and up are welcome. Wear fluorescent colors to shine under the lights. Space is limited to 16 players, and registration is required for each participant.
• Lip Bomb
  9pm-1am, Coyote’s Bar and Grill, Hillsboro
  Join Lip Bomb for a fun night of quirky 70s, 80s, and 90s dance and rock hits, plus a special performance from the Best Kazooist in the Northwest! It’s a free show with no cover charge, so bring your dancing shoes for a night full of music, fun, and laughs!

• Ralph’s Run – 20.25k, 10k, 5k
  9am, 1341 Pacific Ave, Forest Grove
  Ralph’s Run (formerly the ORRC Y2K Run) honors Ralph Brown, with a unique annual distance that increases with the year (e.g., 20.25K in 2025). The event includes a 10K and 5K run/walk, plus a kids’ run.
• Meow Village PetSmart Adoption Event
  10am-2pm, Tigard PetSmart 7501 Dartmouth St
  Come meet a variety of adorable, adoptable cats seeking their forever homes! This event offers a great opportunity to bond with these furry friends, each with their own unique personality and story. Stop by and find your new best friend!
• Tree Recycling
  12pm-4pm, Kohls 16685 SW 12th St, Sherwood
  Either drop off your tree at Kohls on Saturday or Sunday, or schedule a pickup to support Troop 116.
• Dia de los Reyes!
  2pm-6pm, 346 SW Walnut St, Hillsboro
  Celebrate with joy and tradition during this festive event featuring a bike giveaway, toy giveaway, and Rosca de Reyes. Fun and surprises await the whole family!
• Lola and Neil Duo
  Hillsboro Downtown Station Food Carts, 318 SE Baseline St, Hillsboro
  Lola Fields and Neil Whitaker have been performing together since 2019, blending Lola’s country roots with Neil’s jazz expertise.
