Summer reading is herrrreeee! 🎉 Throughout the week, you’ll find a ton of summer reading kickoff parties hosted by our beloved WCCLS. While you’re at it, make sure to wish the library system a happy 50th birthday, and think about picking up a special edition 50th birthday library card 🤩 If you’re nostalgic about your original library card like I am, you can get a sticker to put on it. - Cascade Hound Association Dog Show ✅

Enjoy a seasonal choral performance by the Intel Singers, a Hillsboro-based choir celebrating 25 years of music-making. Comprised of Intel employees, retirees, contractors, and their family members, the group brings a community spirit to their performances, sharing a mix of uplifting seasonal music for all to enjoy. - Summer Reading Party ✅

Kick off summer reading with a fun, family-friendly celebration featuring games, crafts, and hands-on activities for all ages. Explore interactive stations throughout the library, get creative with crafts, and even check out a real-life garbage truck up close. - Swing Dance Night with Rhythm Wrecker Dance Band
7pm-9:30pm, The Walters, Hillsboro
Swing into summer! The night begins with a beginner-friendly Lindy Hop lesson led by Darcie Juarez, making it easy for newcomers and experienced dancers alike to hit the floor with confidence. At 8pm, the Rhythm Wrecker Dance Band takes over with high-energy swing music and driving rhythms that will keep the dance floor moving all night. No partner is required, and refreshments, including wine and treats, will be available for purchase from Danu Wines. - Forest Bailey – Live Music ✅

Experience an evening of innovative acoustic guitar music with Forest Bailey, whose performances combine fingerstyle, tapping, and percussive techniques to create a rich, dynamic sound. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Michael Hedges, Andy McKee, Led Zeppelin, and Scale the Summit, Bailey’s instrumental compositions showcase the remarkable range of a single steel-string guitar.

8am, starts on Century Blvd. just outside the Gordon Faber Rec. Complex, Hillsboro
Leave the city behind and experience the scenic countryside of Washington County at the 26th Annual Helvetia Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K. This popular race takes runners through rolling farmland, past historic Century Farms, a country church, and even a local tavern, with sweeping rural views and a memorable stadium finish. - Chrome and Classics at Portland Cars and Coffee ✅

Step back in time at Chrome and Classics, a celebration of the vintage vehicles.
