It’s library card sign-up month! If you’ve been missing out on all of the free resources the library offers, get on over to one of our Washington County branches and get a library card already! If you have a library card, make a point to check out some extra stuff this month. Checking out materials can be a huge help to the libraries by showing them how much they are valued and needed in the community. Let’s show the libraries some love this month!

This family-friendly festival honors Mexico’s Cry of Independence and kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month with live mariachi and ballet folklórico performances, Latin American cuisine, artisan vendors, a community car show, cultural activities, local resources, and more. Gather with the community to celebrate the traditions, cultures, and contributions of Latin America and the diversity of the Latino diaspora in Hillsboro and beyond. - Trust Me Documentary Screening and Discussion ✅

Explore the critical thinking skills needed to navigate an increasingly digital world at this public series on media literacy and information. Learn the basics of still life drawing with North Pole Studio artist Dan Tran, who will guide you in looking closely at objects and representing them in your own drawing. Explore the Constitution’s creation, major changes in its interpretation, and the structural limitations of the current federal government. This workshop challenges common myths and offers a framework for thinking more critically about the Constitution’s meaning, including the state of democracy, Americans’ understanding of government and rights, how representative the federal government really is, and whether constitutional or governmental changes are needed. - Downtown Sounds Featuring Dumpster Joe ✅

Explore the largely unrecorded history of the Willamette Valley through Native perspectives with OSU Professor and Indigenous scholar David Lewis, a member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and author of Tribal Histories of the Willamette Valley. The presentation traces the region’s history from the time of the Kalapuya, Chinook, Molalla, and other tribes to the present day. - Wil Kinky – Live Music ✅

Step into an immersive adaptation of Agatha Christie’s classic mystery, where ten guests and their hosts are stranded in a remote seaside mansion after a violent storm. When a gramophone recording accuses each guest of wrongdoing, secrets, suspicion, and fear take over as the deaths begin. You’ll be seated inside the house among the bedrooms, dining room, and narrow passages, close enough to hear whispered confrontations and private confessions. The audience remains strictly non-participatory, observing the action as silent witnesses without being addressed or asked to participate. - Cabaret
7:30pm, Theatre in the Grove, Forest Grove
Step into the Kit Kat Club for Theatre in the Grove’s 55th season opener, Cabaret. Set in Berlin during the final years of the Weimar Republic, this dark comedy follows American writer Cliff Bradshaw as he becomes entangled with nightclub performer Sally Bowles and the seductive world of the Kit Kat Club, while political extremism and social upheaval reshape the world outside. Parental guidance is suggested.
