Fall is giving us a lot of great performances and shows by our local artists! Keep an eye out for the theater, music, dance, visual art, and other shows coming up this season.
Always check the event source before heading out, as details can change last minute. I collect events and create this list by hand, so events aren’t automatically updated if there’s a change.

Wednesday, October 21
- Put Down Roots Tualatin – Stewardship Work Party ✅
9am-11am, 99W Boat Launch under bridge on Hazelbrook Road, Tualatin
Spend time caring for Tualatin’s greenways and natural areas this fall and winter by learning about invasive species and native plants while removing ivy and blackberry and planting native species in the Tualatin River watershed. All ages and abilities are welcome, and no experience is necessary. Tools and training are provided. Dress for the weather, with closed-toe shoes and long pants recommended, and bring a reusable water bottle. The work party takes place rain or shine. - Jenkins Estate Historical Tour ✅
10am-12pm, Jenkins Estate, Beaverton
Step back in time at the Jenkins Estate during an open-house historic tour. Drop in between 10am and noon to explore the Main House and historic Stables at your own pace, with Volunteer Historical Ambassadors stationed throughout to share stories, architectural details, and fascinating facts about the families who once lived there. - Kids Book Club ✅
4pm-5:30pm, Tigard Public Library, Tigard
Each month, read a different chapter book nominated for the Beverly Cleary Children’s Choice Award and enjoy fun book-related activities. Register online, by calling or at the Children’s Desk, then pick up your free copy of the month’s book. This month’s pick is Murray the Knight by Adam Stower. - Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale: Friends Members Sneak Peek Night ✅
5:30pm-7pm, Forest Grove City Library, Forest Grove
Get cozy with a new read or twenty at the Friends of the Forest Grove Library book sale! Browse hundreds of vintage and current books, DVDs, CDs, and more while supporting the library with your purchase. Wednesday evening is Friends Members Sneak Peek Night. - Swan Lake: Symphony of Lights
7pm, The Reser, Beaverton
Experience Swan Lake in a whole new light as Tchaikovsky’s iconic score meets vivid lighting, illuminated costumes, and world-class dancers from around the globe. This reimagined production blends classic ballet with bold contemporary design, transforming the story of love and magic into a mesmerizing visual experience. - Cribbage Night ✅
7pm, Three Mugs Public House, Beaverton
Join us for a fun night of cribbage at the Pub every third Wednesday. All ages and skill levels are welcome, and you’re encouraged to bring a board if you have one.
Fall is a great time to make your home more energy efficient. Energy Trust of Oregon has incentives available to lower the cost of home energy upgrades. There are also low- and no-cost options that can help improve comfort and manage energy costs.

Get cozy with a new read or twenty at the Friends of the Forest Grove Library book sale! Browse hundreds of vintage and current books, DVDs, CDs, and more while supporting the library with your purchase. - Hillsboro Community Cleanup & Recycling Event ✅
1pm-3pm, 1500 SE 21st Ave, Hillsboro
Join SOLVE and the Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative for a litter cleanup to help create a cleaner, greener Hillsboro. Volunteers will remove trash and recycle bottles and cans from the neighborhood. Bring filled Green Bags from home to drop off for processing, and take home one or more SOLVE Blue Bags after the event. Any beverage containers found during the cleanup will be donated to SOLVE. - Project Hail Mary ✅
3:30pm-7pm, Tigard Public Library, Tigard
Teen Library Council is hosting a big-screen showing of this sci-fi masterpiece for teens in grades 6 to 12. The movie is a long one, but snacks, rocky crafts, and a karaoke break will keep things fun. Rated PG-13. - Louise Harrison Presents: Liverpool Legends: The Complete Beatles Experience!
7pm, The Reser, Beaverton
Experience the music of The Beatles with Liverpool Legends, a Grammy-nominated tribute personally curated by the late Louise Harrison, George Harrison’s sister. The four musicians and actors recreate the band’s evolution from early hits through the psychedelic and studio years with note-perfect vocals, authentic costumes, vintage instruments, and multimedia. The show also features video narration by Louise Harrison and highlights from the group’s international touring career. - Brenda Andrus – Live Music ✅

Brenda Andrus puts a unique acoustic spin on classic rock, pop, and alternative hits from decades past. - The Woman In Black
7:30pm, The Vault Theater, Hillsboro
Bag&Baggage presents The Woman in Black, Stephen Mallatratt’s chilling stage adaptation of Susan Hill’s celebrated ghost story. Set in a remote English village, the play follows a young lawyer uncovering the secrets of a recently deceased client and the vengeful presence that stands in his way. Just two actors portray all the characters in this atmospheric and relentless Halloween production.
