Hello, Washington County! 🎉

It seems like yesterday I was celebrating my first 50 subscribers, and now we are sailing past 1,100 🎉 Thank you all for being here and for being so wonderful. It really is so delightful to be connected to all of you through the awesome events that happen in our community.

Speaking of events, we’re officially heading into June, which means the events are heating up at the same rate as the weather ☀️ Stay tuned for all of the summer fun!

    The Hillsboro Film Festival returns for its second year after a 2024 sell-out, bringing international filmmakers to the Cultural Arts District for screenings, panels, Q&As, and mixers. Features special screening of “Stunt Rock” by Brian Trenchard Smith with Q&A moderated by Emmy-winner Dustin Morrow, plus Morrow’s “Panic Sets In.” Don’t miss the late-night Countdown to Pride cabaret with Tauraro Film Fest.

    Free Metro household hazardous waste collection event for safe disposal of paint, batteries, pesticides, cleaners, propane, automotive products, medical sharps, and other common household items that shouldn’t go in regular garbage. Make sure to check the website to see what items are allowed.

    Tigard Municipal Court is offering free weddings throughout June to honor LGBTQ+ Pride Month and Loving Day, waiving the usual $75 fee. Ceremonies require prior arrangement, a valid marriage license, and two witnesses.
  • Junior Ranger Program
    Form opens June 1, Fanno Creek House, Tigard

    Junior Ranger program designed for ages 4-14 featuring activity books to explore Tigard Parks while learning conservation. Kits available starting June 1 with limited quantities – registration form required.
